Aluminum Shot can be used in applications that require lightweight softer abrasives and can be cycled through a blast cabinet or blast room hundreds of cycles (sometimes even thousands of blast cycles). This is compared to the 5 to 20 cycles that most mineral, bio-based, and glass abrasives can cycle before breaking completely down.
Aluminum Shot can be used in metal finishing applications such as the removal of paint, rust, mill scale, heavy coatings, and it can provide a profile for surface preparation. Key benefits of this product include its non-ferrous composition, low dusting characteristics, and its ability to create a bright finish. When used in place of carbon steel shot or stainless steel shot it can last up to 2 times longer.
