EnviroStrip® Wheat Starch is our go-to media for removing paint on aircraft and aeronautical parts. This media is suitable for metallic surfaces (like aluminum alloys and soft-clad aluminum) and composite surfaces.

It’s approved for use by several aerospace entities, including the Boeing Defense & Space Group (BDSG) and the Boeing Commercial Airplane Group (BCAG). Its applications include surface cleaning, deflashing, sensitive substrate blasting, etching, and surface preparation.

EnviroStrip XL Corn Starch is a corn hybrid polymer that preserves the unique mechanical properties of aircraft while being more tolerant to moisture than wheat-based products.

This media is ideal for light abrasive blasting systems traditionally using plastic abrasives, making it a perfect drop-in replacement. EnviroStrip XL’s applications mirror those of our wheat starch media, offering:

  • Sensitive Substrate Blasting
  • Etching
  • Surface Preparation

These unique attributes make our product much more equipment and operator-friendly.

Our eStrip® GPX Type VII Corn Starch is a military-spec blasting abrasive that complies with the USAF MIL-P-85891A requirements. Like EnviroStrip XL®, it’s a corn hybrid polymer that offers superior moisture resistance and flowability, making it an excellent substitute for plastic media blast materials.

This media is specifically designed to preserve the mechanical properties of aircraft and is suitable for surface cleaning, deflashing, sensitive substrate blasting, etching, and surface preparation.
