GPx Corn Starch

Military Spec Blasting Abrasive

GPx (Type VII) preserves the unique mechanical properties of aircraft (complies with USAF MIL-P-85891A requirement). GPx Type VII starch media incorporates the same features and benefits as traditional EnviroStrip (wheat starch) yet with many unique attributes that make it more equipment and operator friendly.

Corn Hybrid Polymers (CHP) such as GPx Type VII (military use) are also more tolerant to moisture than the wheat based EnviroStrip. CHP’s can be used in light abrasive blasting systems where plastic abrasives have been traditionally used. GPx Type VII are flow-able, moisture resistant, and an ideal drop-in replacement for plastic media blast (PMB) material.
